Claude-Simon was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and tried out his first camera at Expo 67. His interest in photography dates from that moment. Studies inarts and communications at Collège Brébeuf and in film at Concordia University, both in Montréal, contributed to developing his fascination with images. After five years
as an assistant cameraman on feature film and commercial film sets in Quebec, his career as a professional photographer really began in the mid-1980s. For over 20 years now, his predilection for architecture, design and the corporate field have taken him all over Canada and the United States and to Europe for a varied clientele including Alcan Aluminium, Fairmont Hotels, General Dynamics, Hilton Canada, RBC Capital, Standard Life and many other businesses concerned about the quality of their image. Running through all these commercial mandates is a common thread: his own particular vision, one that reaches out to everyone who sees his work.
